Sitting on a Goldmine: Irrigation, a Glorious Future for Katsina State

You have said it all regarding the revamping and refurbishing of the agricultural sector (including Pests, Weeds, and Diseases Control (PWDC), proper irrigation systems and facilities, agro-processing industries, marketing of agricultural products, etc). I wish Dr. Dikko Umar Radda a sound and successful administration beyond the expectations of people. Many people are hoping that he will be the best Katsina State Governor in history, as he has a Ph.D. in Agricultural Extension, and he is well-known as a hardworking and smart civil servant with relevant experience in civil service, as he was the Director General of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN).

Thank you very much for always educating and enlightening us, jazakallahu khairan. May Almighty Allah continue to guide, bless and protect you. Amen.  More golden inks to the golden pens of our amiable, erudite, hardworking, and resourceful Prof

Abdullahi Abubakar, Zaria

Indeed Prof., "the optimum and maximum utilization of water resources must be given priority overall so that the pyramids will return for cash crops and other agricultural products."

Mallam Abdulaziz I. J.

It is our fervent hope the governor-elect, Dr. Umar Dikko Radda will use some of the advice given, this will greatly boost the agricultural sector particularly to revive Agric extension workers that will contribute immensely towards improving the sector. May Almighty Allah (S W A) bless you our Prof.

Prince Salisu Umar

Thank you, Prof., for bringing up a wonderful topic of discussion. More ink to your golden pen

This piece is a handy tool and helpful to the revival of agriculture in Katsina state. Thank you, Sir.

Abdullahi Sani Abdullahi

Masha Allahu, you have said it all, Prof., I wish the new governor, Dr. Radda will look at it dispassionately.

Aisha Aliyu

Thank you, Professor, if the new Governor, Dr. Umar Dikko can fully implement your suggestions, it will bring an end to the poverty in Katsina State.

GSS Funtua@60: A Tortious Journey from Grace to Grass

Dear Prof. Othman, this piece is a great articulation of education and the realities of both ancient and present days. It is embedded with gold and silver of knowledge that emanated from a great mind and thinker. This piece ignited me of my school days full of jade and coral.

Yakubu Yunusa Sakpe

Well-done Prof Mk Othman, you have said it all, but I want the present Executive officers of Funtua Old Boys Association (FOBA) to carry along all the old students of GSS Funtua from different states not to concentrate on those in Katsina state only. This will make the Alumni of the school come together to support it and revive it back to those good olden days.

Abdulyekeeni Hassan, Abuja

After forty-one years of graduation, Government Secondary School Funtua is still in my mind. God bless GSS Funtua, amen.

Tasiu Maikano Kofarbai, Katsina

Thank you, Sir, for always educating and enlightening us with your fantastic articles (write-ups). May Almighty Allah continue to guide, bless and unite you. Amen Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum

Abdullahi Abubakar, Zaria

Sir, your educational history is the most exemplary and motivating to the young ones, which propels many to follow in your footsteps. More grace to your endeavors, amen.

Ibrahim Bala, Bindawa

Prof. The story of your cherished school, GSS Funtua is the same with all the second-generation secondary schools in the north. It seems with all the schools our contemporaries attended are being bastardized in all manners. What a shame to this crop of leadership. From Grace to Grass is the best way, to sum up their long history. Sadly, It also depicted the way our dear nation had plummeted from the nostalgic good days to a pathetic, decrepit, and directionless people and nation that have lost our souls!!!

FGN VS ASUU Court Case: Beyond the Legal Judgement

Dear Prof. This is another masterpiece you have added to history. May Allah bless you. However, I understood the plain facts that Nigerian judges with their lawyers are corrupted to the extent that they can call a pen a spade. This is what was seemingly observed during ASUU and Federal Government Judgement. Although, I was not surprised about a judge or a lawyer who passed wrong judgments without considering the future consequences knowingly that education is the backbone of development in every nation. This showed the world that the enemies of education in Nigeria are boundless. They made and supported policies that can cripple higher education as they have succeeded in weakening primary and secondary education. Now, they are attempting to destroy higher-level education by suffering their mentors with intense hunger and debts while feeding their cohorts and thieves. Wow! But finally, ASUU and the other Unions should rely on God and the present administration whose leadership has great integrity and is highly knowledgeable about the value of education. Let us be patient.

Yakubu Yunusa Sakpe

Sir, the Media houses are interested in Headlines, that was why among the more than six judgments, they only picked the one on “no work, no pay” that readers will make payment for a copy of the daily.

Dr. Mohammed Makeri, Zaria

Thank you very much for always educating and enlightening us; thank you very much for always challenging our reading and writing skills and spirits with your excellent articles. May Almighty Allah continue to guide, bless and protect you and bring the best solution to the lingering ASUU Strike that will revamp our educational system, Amen.

Abdullahi Abubakar, Zaria

More wisdom and healthful days for you, Prof. You are indeed a torchbearer.

Food Security in Africa- Is Genetically Modified Technology a Pathway

You don’t have to be a plant scientist before you can say something about Genetically Modified Technology. You have undergone an undergraduate class in agriculture at the prestigious ABU where you were taught the basics of genetics and breeding, I am sure, that is enough to qualify you to make your contributions. I have thoroughly read your write-ups and I assess that you have done well as a professor of breeding of one of the commodities. It is indeed well said. More grease

Dr. Ibrahim Fagge Garba

Keep up the good work! Prof Even with the current situation at hand
